These Terms apply to your use of the Android app Checkpit (formerly Oilbook) and of the Checkpit community board in the app and on the web (thunder-punch.github.io/oilbook/community). It is operated by Twobridges, an individual developer. Contact: [email protected].

By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms and our Checkpit Privacy policy. If you make a purchase through Google Play, Google Play's payment-related terms also apply.

1. The Service

Checkpit lets you record vehicles, fuel fill-ups, service and repairs, other expenses, and reminders. It calculates figures such as fuel economy and costs from what you enter. You can use the app with or without signing in with a Google account. Your records are stored on your device, and recording works offline. If you sign in, a backup copy is also kept in your account (Cloud Firestore) so you can restore it on another device. Checkpit also offers a community board where owners can talk about their cars (Section 8).

The app is distributed through Google Play. Launch countries are the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Mexico.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old. Any in-app purchases are subject to your Google Play account settings and the consumer rules of your country.

Google Sign-In is optional. You can continue without an account. If you sign in, the first sign-in creates your account; there is no separate email and password signup. You can sign out or delete your account in Settings → Account. Deleting your account deletes your cloud backup, everything you posted on the community board, and your sign-in account, but not the records on your device.

3. Your Records and Backups

• Your records belong to you. If you sign in, we store a backup copy only to restore it for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
• If you do not sign in, your records exist only on your device and you are responsible for keeping backups. The cloud backup for signed-in users is provided as is and may be unavailable at times, so we recommend also keeping your own backup file. You can create a backup file or export CSV files from the app at any time, free of charge.
• If your device is lost, reset, or the app is uninstalled without a cloud backup or backup file, we cannot recover your records.
• When you import a file, make sure you have the right to use its contents.

4. Calculations and Reminders

• Fuel economy, cost totals, and estimated reminder dates are calculated from the data you enter and may be inaccurate if entries are missing or incorrect.
• Mileage-based reminders use estimates based on your recent driving and may arrive earlier or later than the actual due point.
• Notifications depend on your device settings, battery optimization, and Android behavior, so delivery is not guaranteed.
